My Back 40 Podcast

My Back 40 (myback40.org) is a weekly podcast hosted by Steve O'Shaughnessy that focuses primarily on cycling, bikepacking, and bikepack endurance racing. Steve engages in insightful, uplifting, and inspirational conversation with people from all walks of life, spanning topics from physical and mental health, nutrition, overcoming challenges, and the highs and lows of adventure cycling.

We initially reached out to Steve in the summer of 2021. The discussion later turned to collaboration over an idea Steve had for a t-shirt design that best represented one of his most vivid experiences on the trail:

You know how when you pull into a town and you see the lights of a 24hr gas station and you immediately feel joy and relief? I was thinking of a design that represents the gas station as an oasis...

The artwork to showcase that vision includes a 24-hour gas station bathed in a single street light, tropical imagery surrounding the entrance of the store, and Steve's trusty rig TIMBR resting comfortably against the pumps while he gathers his resupply inside.

It was an absolute pleasure to bring Steve's vision to life, and have since collaborated on several sticker designs to include in his online store.
